Inclusions

• Beach front accomodation
• 3 meals per day prepared by our kitchen team. Any special requirements please let us know in advance. 
• Complementary coffee, tea, water.
• Daily boat trips to local surf breaks.
• Use of WIFI. We have Starlink satellite WIFI with unlimited download for our guests. 

Exclusions

• Transfers are not included in the per person per night rate. Transfers for guests can be organised by us, please see below.
• Hotel accomodation in Padang. We recommend the Mercure as it is a great hotel and close to the fast ferry port. We can assist with hotel bookings and have organised a discount for guests. Let us know if you want to access this discount. 
• Alcohol, soft drinks are excluded but available to purchase. 
  

Getting to South Telos Resort

• Book a flight to Padang International Airport (PDG).
  
• Upon arrival we can have a representative meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel, Transfer cost not inclusive, approximately $25 AUD shared cost between guests.
  
• Early the following morning you will be taken to the Fast Ferry Port for a 4 hour ferry (Mentawai Fast Ferry service) ride to Siberut Island, port of Sikabaluan. Transfer cost from hotel to Padang ferry port not inclusive, approximately $25 AUD shared cost between guests.
  
• The Mentawai Fast Ferry operates on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturday to and from Padang to Sikabaluan port, Siberut Island (Mentawai) and costs approximately $50 AUD each way, dependent on luggage (350,000 IDR for ticket, 200,000 IDR for surfboards under 15 Kg). Please arrive in Padang at least one day prior to ferry departure, as Mentawai Fast Ferry departure is approximately 7:00am. Conversely, please arrange flights for one day after arrival back in Padang on the ferry as it arrives approximately 6:00 pm, insufficient time to get to the airport for an international flight.
  
• You will then be met at the Sikabaluan Port by our speed boat for a 3-3.5 hour transfer to the Resort. Cost is minimum of $160 AUD per person each way depending on numbers, 4 or more people travelling is minimum charge. 
• Alternative travel to the resort includes flight to Telo Town in northern Telo Islands followed by speed boat to the Resort. Please note surfboards are not allowed on this flight.

What to Bring

A full list of recommendations will provided 3 weeks before arrival.

• Surfboards and other surfing equipment.
• Light clothing, hat, beach towel.
• Sunscreen and any other toiletries.
• Bring some cash money, no atm's on the island.
• Electrical adaptors for Indonesia.
• Books to read.
• Medications regularly taken or required. Medications in case of infections like ear or skin infections. 

Safety

For your personal safety, we require all guests to have travel insurance with medical evacuation coverage. In the case of an emergency, we will help you contact your insurance company.

Our resort is equipped with a medical kit. In the event of a more serious accident or illness, we will assist in arranging for transportation to the mainland, Padang.

Travel Delays

The weather and Mentawai Fast Ferry schedule changes are out of our control and though every effort is made to transfer guests to and from the resort on time; severe weather conditions, Mentawai Fast ferry failure to travel and other unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from being able to transfer you in a safe and timely manner. Subsequently, in rare circumstances delays can be experienced which may affect connecting flights or travel plans. South Telos Resort is not responsible for delays due to transfers and recommends travel insurance that provides coverage for any loss due to travel delays.
